Medical Director and Plastic Surgeon DM FRCS(Plast)
Thanassi Athanassopoulos studied medicine at Oxford University and King’s College Hospital London qualifying with distinction prior to embarking on Plastic Surgery Training in Scotland. Marc-James Hallam
Consultant Plastic Surgeon
Marc-James Hallam is a consultant plastic surgeon at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He is also a clinical lecturer at the Aberdeen University Medical School and has published over 30 academic articles and textbook chapters, many of which he has presented at international meetings.

Mark Harrison
Theatre Manager and Aesthetic Practitioner
Mark has been in nursing for nearly 30 years. He gained his DipHEN from RGU in 2000 and went onto do a post grad at the University of Dundee in 2006, gaining a BN in Anaesthetics & Recovery and Theoretical Nursing. He has worked in Scotland and Canada for both the public and private sectors predominantly in the peri-operative environment. He is passionate about teaching and peer support having worked alongside practice education and staff wellbeing. Mark is one of our skilled Aesthetic Practitioners, trained by Mr Thanassi and Dr Chris Hutton of Array Aesthetics.
Valerie McIntosh
Bank Clinic Nurse
Valerie is a registered nurse with over 30 years experience. She is currently the Senior Charge Nurse at the Burns and Plastics Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and works as part of the bank team. Valerie’s qualifications include Degree of Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Leadership and Management and has a wealth of experience in wound management.

Sinead Collins
Clinical Pharmacist Independent Prescriber and Aesthetic Practitioner
Sinead has over 20 years of experience in medicines management working within the community pharmacy sector and the NHS. Her qualifications include Mpharm (master of pharmacy), IP (Independent prescriber), GPHC registered, advanced facial augmentation trained for both botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. Also provides hyperhidrosis treatment, mesotherapy, micro needling and vit b12 injections, prescribing of prescription only skincare. Sinead joined Alpha Hospital Group in August 2022.
Saoirse Nevin
Aesthetician
Saoirse is a passionate aesthetician with over 15 years experience. Saoirse originally studied beauty therapy but quickly realised that her interests were more in line with medically led skin treatments. Saoirse particularly enjoys using energy based devises to achieve effective and long lasting results for her clients. She performs a range of treatments with lasers to treat vascular and pigmentation concerns as well skin rejuvenation and hair growth reduction. She also performs microneedling, radiofrequency, chemical peels and performs a range of clinically proven facials using various technologies. She believes that the right skincare is essential to optimal skin health so is passionate about educating her clients on the use of medical grade skin care to transform their skin and maintain results of any in clinic treatments.
Elizabeth Davidson
Aesthetic Practitioner
Elizabeth is a qualified Aesthetic Practitioner and Registered Nurse with over 9 years of nursing experience. After studying Nursing at the University of Stirling, Elizabeth worked at Dr Gray’s Hospital for almost 5 years, developing a strong clinical background and a patient-centred approach to care. She continues to work on the nurse bank alongside her aesthetics career.
Elizabeth qualified in Aesthetics in 2019 and has since continued to expand her knowledge and expertise across a range of advanced aesthetic treatments. She is passionate about helping clients feel confident in their own skin while achieving safe, natural-looking results tailored to each individual.
Elizabeth offers a variety of treatments including anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal filler, skin boosters, fat dissolving, and microneedling. Known for her calm and friendly approach, she takes pride in ensuring clients feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their treatment journey.
Elizabeth works across our Inverness and Inverurie clinics.
