Marc-James Hallam

Marc-James Hallam is a consultant plastic surgeon at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He is also a clinical lecturer at the Aberdeen University Medical School and has published over 30 academic articles and textbook chapters, many of which he has presented at international meetings.
He is a fully accredited plastic surgeon and a member of BAPRAS

Consultant Plastic Surgeon

Mr Hallam initially trained in plastic surgery in London, including at the renowned Queen Victoria Hospital, before embarking on a 2-year research project into the development of an anti-scarring treatment for cosmetic breast surgery cases at the prestigious McIndoe Surgical Centre and Imperial College London for which he was awarded an M.D (Doctorate of Medicine) for his work.

Mr Hallam continued his training in Scotland where he gained wide exposure to all aspects of plastic and cosmetic surgeries and at its completion was awarded his FRCS (plast). Following training Mr Hallam worked as a Locum Consultant at both Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Ninewells Hospitals. He also embarked on a specialist training fellowship at the world famous “The Christie” Hospital, where he received advanced training in the management and reconstruction of complex cancer cases.

Mr Hallam returned to Aberdeen with his family to commence his consultant post at the Aberdeen Royal infirmary where he specialises in breast surgery, including microsurgical breast reconstruction, as well as treating complex skin cancer cases. He is passionate about providing high quality care uniquely tailored to each individual patient.
