Ultherapy lifts, sculpts and tightens skin from the inside out with minimal downtime. It’s the only non-invasive procedure FDA cleared and EU CE mark certified procedure to lift the upper and lower face, under the chin, neck and on the eyebrow as well as improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.

Ultherapy uses precise micro-focused ultrasound with visualisation (MFU-V) energy to target the deep structural layers of the skin without disrupting the skin’s surface. After treatment the body’s tissue repair process stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, creating a gradual lifting effect.

Loss of skin strength and elasticity resulting in loose sagging skin on areas of the face, brow, chin and neck. Lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.

Your practitioner will recommend pain management which can be taken approximately 45 minutes before your treatment begins.

After cleansing the skin and identifying the specific areas to be treated, ultrasound gel will be applied and the smooth treatment applicator will be placed against your skin.

To customise your treatment, your practitioner will visualise the best location for treatment through Ultherapy’s ultrasound imaging in order to target the area(s) that will benefit you most.

During treatment, you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited under the skin, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort levels can vary from person to person but you may experience the sensation of heat and/or tingling while the energy is being delivered.

Ultherapy is customised so the length of your appointment will depend on the area being treated.

There is no downtime, only natural looking results. You can return to your normal activities immediately after your procedure without any post-treatment restrictions or requirements.

Your skin might appear flushed at first but the redness should disappear within a few hour.

Some patients experience slight swelling, tingling or tenderness to the touch but these are mild and temporary in nature.

Other less common post-procedural effects may include temporary bruising or numbness on small areas of skin.

Ultherapy is a proven treatment with a well-established safety profile. It is currently marketed worldwide in more than 75 countries, with over 1.5 million treatments performed globally to date. In addition, ultrasound has a proven track record, with use in the field of medicine for more than 50 years.

Collagen is a natural protein that gives skin its youthfulness by keeping it firm and toned. As we age, collagen breaks down and this results in a loss of skin strength and elasticity. Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound to generate a thermal effect under the skin. The thermal effect essentially jump-starts your body’s own process that produces fresh new collagen.

Ultherapy treats the deep foundational layer addressed in cosmetic surgery but won’t duplicate the results of a surgical facelift. Ultherapy is a great alternative, however, especially for those not ready for surgery.

Ultherapy uses sound energy which has unique properties that allow it to bypass the surface of the skin to treat depths not matched by any other non-invasive cosmetic device. Ultherapy ultrasound stimulates collagen production in the skin’s foundation, resulting in a clinically significant lift of tissue over 2-3 months. Some lasers rely on light energy which cannot reach deeper skin layers. Typically, laser treatments also only treat superficial skin and are not FDA cleared to lift skin.

Since the procedure stimulates a person’s own collagen production, how long results last depends on the individual. While results appear over 2-3 months, they can last up to a year or more. Future touch-up treatments can help provide more control over the ageing process, which varies by individual.

Most patients only need one treatment however some may benefit from more than one treatment, depending on how much skin laxity they have and their body’s own biological response to the ultrasound and collagen-building process. Follow up Ultherapy treatments each year may help to maintain results.

Someone with some degree of laxity to the point of looking and often feeling less firm. Loose skin under the neck and under the chin or lines and wrinkles on the chest. Typically those in their 30s and older who have mild to moderate skin laxity are candidates. There are also younger people who want to “stay ahead of the game” as well as patients wanting an aesthetic maintenance option.
